| Drawing as an
end in itself.
Simply to follow the movement of
the line.
Each line, an attempt at grace.
Ten thousand graceful lines
and the emerging image starts to
tell a story.
In order to know what the story is,
one must persevere.
More lines.
The drawing is a great unknown
that beckons.
The focus of my work is the art of drawing. Using traditional techniques
laid down by the old masters. Automatic drawing, explored by the surrealists
such as Max Ernst, is the means in which I implement these techniques.
There is no predetermined image, but rather a process of letting the forms
emerge. The result is a subconscious tale that exists as a mystery waiting
to be explored.
A Brooklyn born artist, my work has been exhibited and published locally,
nationally and internationally.
