Kris Waldherr is an author, illustrator and book designer. Her inspiring and empowering art has been shown in numerous museums and galleries, including the National Museum of Women in the Arts and
the Ruskin LIbrary. Waldherr is the author-illustrator of Doomed Queens (Broadway Books), The Book of Goddesses, The Lover's Path (Abrams Books), and many other publications. The New Yorker praised Doomed Queens as "Utterly satisfying.... a concise, humorous, and keenly observed history of women and power." The Book of Goddesses, a One Spirit/Book of the Month Club selection, was the inspiration for The Goddess Tarot, which has over 200,000 copies in print. Her publications have been published outside the United States in Canada, Great Britain, Australia, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland, Russia, China, Turkey, and Korea. She recently branched into producing iPhone apps of her publications.
