Part 2 Requirements for Participants

The FA Studio Tour is sponsored by a group of local artists interested in showcasing the work of Visual Artists living and/or working in Victorian Flatbush (Flatbush Avenue to Coney Island Avenue, Caton Av. To Ave. H). The success of the Flatbush Artists Studio tour will depend on cooperative effort. All participants will be required to work a minumum of 10 hours on a committee and assist in the promotion of the event through the distribution of materials.

There will be at least one meeting a few weeks before the tour for materials pick-up and distribution (dates TBA).

Jurying: Artists are required to submit digital images representative of their work for review by the committee. Images must be less than 1 MB in size and 72 d.p.i. Please indicate size, medium, and which image you would prefer to be used on the Flatbush Artists website and studio tour map.

Part 3 Space Sharing

It has proven to be highly effective when several artists share one space. Please notify Karen Friedland if you have available space or need to share.

Part 4 Promotion and Graphics

The FAST will be well advertised and we will publicize it to as many potential patrons and visitors as possible. Materials may include a high-quality poster/map and postcards plus local advertising, press release, and dedicated website.

Part 5Fees

Please make check payable to Flatbush Artists Studio Tour.

Groups: Each member of a group of artists sharing space is required to pay individual fee. All artists showing in shared group space must be tour participants.

Please help us get the word out and forward this application to every artist you know in the Victorian Flatbush area. The tour is open to artists of any 2D or 3D media.
